Employee Pay Strategies For More Competitive Times

Employers are struggling with an increasing diversity in the work force, greater competitive pressure, an increasing rate of change in business, and scarce resources.

Competitive advantage will come from attracting and retaining quality employees and from motivating them to work at their maximum potential.

In this program, we will talk about the impact of economic, business, and cultural change on compensation programs and will present compensation strategies which enable the employer to

  • provide a total compensation package that will attract and retain good employees
  • link pay to performance to maximize employee productivity

Ms. Ding has spoken on this topic to the American Compensation Association and the Personnel and Industrial Relations Association. She teaches courses in employee pay design for the professional certification program of WorldatWork (formerly American Compensation Association) where she is one of their highest rated instructors. She has taught courses on pay design for Chapman University, UCI Extension, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal State Pomona.
